Intuitive, compassionate bodywork for trauma

Kuan Yin, Goddess of Compassion

kuanyinstatue

My healing practice is dedicated to Kuan Yin, Chinese Bodhisattva (Goddess) of Compassion, because I believe that all those who have suffered trauma need compassion, both from within and from others.

Kuan Yin (also spelled Guan Yin, Quan Yin, Kwan Yin) originated as the Buddhist Sanskrit Avalokitesvara, a male Bodhisattva. Her full Chinese name, Guan Shih Yin, means Hearer of the Cries of the World. In Japan, she is called Kannon. In Tibet, she is known as Green Tara. All over the world, she is revered as a protector, role model, and refuge.

Michelle Siegel

I had come to Sonia for relief from migraines and ended up with both reduced frequency of the migraines and relief from other stress-induced problems–shoulder and neck pain, back pain. Working with Sonia also enabled me to release some old memories and pain that were held quite deeply in my body. Continue Reading (click twice)
